Partial owners name crudely etched in stock, Clark, most likely for Private John Clark of the 2nd Michigan, no other information available. Complete, mechanism locks in half-cock, sporadically in full cock. Inspector mark P in forestock. Barrel measures 24 1/4'', 39'' overall.

218 Click for larger picture RARE 1851 US SPRINGFIELD CADET MUSKET: Lock dated 1851, partial eagle and US remain on plate, .57 caliber, 40'' barrel. Inspector marks V.P. on barrel, US stamp on butt hardware. According to Flayderman 300 of the 4000 rifles produced went to cadets at VMI. From Southern family, however cannot verify Confederate use. Measures 55'' overall.
CONDITION: Expected nicks and dings. Please call for condition.

219 Click for larger picture ID'D CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 49 POCKET PISTOL: Id'd engraved on buttstrap George Ivers. Ivers saw service in the 7th US Regiment. The 7th US saw action in Gettysburg, Chancellorsville and other important battles. All matching serial numbers 157474 dating to late 1859 - early 1860. 6'' octagon .31 caliber barrel, wood grips. Partial stagecoach cylinder scene. Action works fine. 11'' overall.
CONDITION: Note this gun saw service, expected nicks and dings are present. No finish. SAFETY NOTE: One cylinder has bullet wedge in.

224A Click for larger picture RUSSIAN 1929 SHASHKA SWORD & SCABBARD: 1929 dated dragoon soldiers shashka sword with brass pommel featuring C.C.C.P. and hammer & sickle design, wood grip. 31 7/8'' plain blade with Russian inspector marks dated 1929. Japanned scabbard with brass mounts and drag. Missing bayonet. 38 1/8'' overall.
CONDITION: Blade has been sharpened, has nicks and age staining. Minor areas of flaking to japanned finish on scabbard.

CONDITION: Note loss of finish on pommel & guard, areas of wear on blade, light surface pitting on scabbard.

Knight head stamp on minty 10 1/4'' blade under langet, no makers name but most likely W. K. & C. Original leather over metal sheath with leather frog. 16 3/4'' overall. 2) Figural eagle pommel with Johann Kirch Madeburg marked near mint 9 3/4'' blade. Original metal scabbard with leather frog and red & silver knot. 15 3/4'' overall.
CONDITION: Note conditions on 1) Wear to leather. 2) Minor damage to pommel, wear to leather, finish loss and surface rust to scabbard, spotting from naval jelly on blade.

Both maps on one plate, hand colored. From an edition size of 525 copies. Sight size 14 1/2'' x 20 1/4'', framed with glass on both sides so one can read the text, 20 1/2'' x 26 1/4''.
