15 Click for larger picture MULLER, Gustav, (German, 1811-): Pair of Excellent 19th C. Portraits of a Male and Female, Oils/Canvas, 11 1/2'' x 9 3/8'', encased in period gilded frames with major wear damage and over-paint, only the female painting is signed.
CONDITION: There is damage to the surface of the male painting, visible damage appears to be caused by some sort of thinner, stripper or some sort of paint dilutor, female painting has damage as well, but not nearly the same extent, cracklure throughout, sold as is.

CONDITION: Several areas of minor fleck, paint is firmly adhered, scattered in-paint throughout, mostly in margins and in the instructor's coat, needs cleaning.
