270A | MODERN INDO-CHINESE HAND KNOTTED WOOL ROUND RUG, 8' circle: A pastel round rug with an ivory field that has a pale blue medallion surrounded by a tracery design of flowers and vines with birds done in colors of pale pink, blue, green, and beige. The same tracery design is found on the edge of the field as well as in the border of the rug. There is an interesting motif of vases on stands with pairs of love birds on top. This design alternates with smaller vases of flowers. Round rugs are difficult to weave and are not as common as rectangular shaped rugs. Condition is good. | 250 | |
