MODERN TURKISH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 7' x 10' 6'': This soft colored mid-size rug has a curvilinear floral pattern that starts with a small central star shaped medallion in green, white, peach, and black. Surrounded by a much larger pinkish peach ground medallion with spandrels at either end. And this is surrounded by the white ground that makes up the rest of the field with the exception of the corners and the borders. The green color of the corners matches the color in the central star and is not a color commonly seen in a lot of Oriental rugs. The flowerheads, leaves and vines that cover the field are well drawn and cover the whole of the rug. Condition is good. | 300 |
