53 Click for larger picture MODERN SINO PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 6' x 8' 10'': This modern interpretation of a traditional design rug uses soft browns, greens, beiges, and yellows, on a black field to create a dramatic effect. There is a central medallion using the same colors listed above and the four corners of the main field are like fourths of the central medallion. The main border has a ground color of a brownish red and it has two small guard borders with yellow grounds on either side to complete the frame of the rug picture. Condition is very good. 750

The handles are surmounted by figural cupids. The silk shades have applique panels. The finials are in the form of classical oil lamps. The lamp measures approx. 39'' tall overall, the shades 19'' dia. 550

Lower lockable shelf opens with original Jacot advertisement and empty Jacot bottle of music box oil. Key and crank in office. Measures 10 3/4'' h. x 30 1/4'' x 15 3/4''.
CONDITION: Note split to panel on lid, currently plays however not guaranteed to continue. Will most likely require tuning.

Impressed with mark in porcelain verso with Crown and D. The artist used high quality porcelain paints that once fired, will never fade or flake off. This is an technically elaborate and extremely time consuming process that requires a complete refiring in the kiln after each layer of color. The result is a richly detailed, luminous painting that accentuates the equine's glowing chestnut coat. 850
