SIGNED SHINSHINTO JAPANESE KATANA SWORD: 19th Century Shinshinto era, signed Toshi-tsugu. Iron tsuba with utori highlights, matching kashira and fuchi. Rayskin same with dragon form menuki. 26'' blade with straight suguba temper line. Ribbed black lacquer saya, black sageo. Overall 37 3/4'' long. CONDITION: Age split to top of saya, chips and spots of lacquer loss lower saya, spotting (not rust) to blade. Split to rayskin same. Meguki has been removed for display and photography and will need replacing. |
