1201 Click for larger picture ELGIN GAIL BORDEN 14K GOLD POCKET WATCH CA. 1883: Key wind and set watch, the ornately engraved hunter case is marked B.W.C. Co. Warranted 14K 189492. The watch is signed Elgin and Gail Borden, serial number 1080305. The dial with Roman numerals and secondary dial with Arabic. 11 jewels, size 10. The 28'' gold filled chain is fitted with a heart shaped slide. 1 5/8'' diameter for case. Weight of watch and case is 65 grams. 600

1205 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40 YR OLD TURKISH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3' 1'' x 9' 10'': This runner has a design that is found in Bergama rugs, namely the octagons within another octagon. In this runner the octagonal medallions are set within squared panels that fill the whole main field. The main border of the rug has a design of a vine with leaves alternating with flower heads. The colors of the rug are not splashy but blend with each other and the designs that they are used in. The use of green along with the white, red, black, and beige add to appeal of this rug. Condition is good, recently cleaned. 325
1206 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-30 YR OLD TIBETAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5' 6 1/2'' x 7' 7 1/2'': This pretty rug has an unusual color palette employing reds ,blues, greens, and purples together in a large almost Nouveau type floral design. The designs have been enhanced by the use of carving to accentuate the different colors and motifs. The overall effect makes this a striking rug. Condition is good, recently cleaned. 650

1209 Click for larger picture ANTIQUE PERSIAN PALACE SIZE HAND KNOTTED WOOL CARPET, 10' 8'' x 15' 4'': This Persian Kashan rug has a midnight blue colored field that is covered with flower heads, buds, leaves, and palmettes, done in colors of red, pink, yellow, white, blues, rust and green. The work in creating this rug shows a sophistication and skill that is the mark of weavers who were true artists. The rug has a small inscription found in the field near one corner that probably gives the name of the center where this palace size rug was made.
CONDITION: This rug is very worn in many areas and has some old moth damage, but would look worlds better after a good cleaning and some judicious dying of the blue field.

1213 Click for larger picture 1858 FLORIDA ESTATE DOCUMENT WITH SLAVES: Dated 1858, from Jefferson County, Florida, a inventory of estate items to include a woman named Ann and her child Albert, a girl named Jane, and a boy named Aaron. Written in pen on blue paper. Letter measures 12 1/2'' x 8'', framed 15 1/2'' x 12 1/2''.
CONDITION: Fold lines, small hole at top of page. Not examined out of frame.

CONDITION: Missing button to folding counter guard, age stains and surface rust to blade, staining and pitting to scabbard.

1222 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9' x 12': This rug, originally woven by the Pande Cameron Company, has a small repeating pattern of rows of botehs, or paisleys, on a pretty green field. The four corners of the rug have the same pattern of botehs, but with a contrasting field color. The main border of the rug has a design that is found on Persian Sereband rugs but the colors are different. Green as a main color is rarely found in Persian rugs so this gives the customer who wants to decorate with it a choice. See the next lot for the matching runner.
CONDITION: Condition is good and will look even better after a professional cleaning.

OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 2' 7'' x 10': This runner, originally woven by the Pande Cameron Company, is a mate to the previous room size rug. The rug has a Persian Sereband pattern of small botehs, or paisleys on a green field. The light colored border of the runner frames the inner field and completes the design. Condition is good. 550

1229 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40 YRS OLD NATIVE AMERICAN HAND WOVEN WOOL RUG, 3'6'' x 6': The flat weave rug has a simple design of blue birds flying in rows across an orange field. There are accents of black and white on the birds. There are no borders. This rug's origins are in the Americas but I'm not sure exactly where.
CONDITION: The edges are a little worn and the ends are a little frayed.

Includes copy of original receipt from Poindexter Gallery, 1961, a copy of original letter from Snelgrove, and an exhibition catalog from the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, with an illustration of this painting included, as well as an exhibition receipt from the Whitney Museum, and the San Francisco Museum of Art.
CONDITION: Several scattered areas of craquleure, most notable in upper left and right corners, looking at canvas verso there appears to have been a moisture issue when in storage, upper right hand corner shows several small flecks of paint loss, needs cleaning, sold as is.
