Sold with original wood and brass telescoping tripod, also marked Gurley on mounts. CONDITION: Shows signs of age, optics appear to be working fine however we are not experts in transits. 1212 | SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'9'' x 13'7'': This Persian carpet has a traditional floral design consisting of a large oval central medallion on a wine red field. Scattered around the field are sprays of flowers. The pale blue corners have flowers and leaves that seem to come from the borders of the rug. These ''broken borders'' continue around the rug in the form of vases of flowers that also come from the borders into the field. Likewise the motifs in the borders go from one area to another. The overall effect is pleasing to the eye of the beholder. CONDITION: Condition is generally good with some areas of visible wear. Also there is a tiny patch. |
