1341 | TARKAY, Itzchak Isaac (Yugoslav, 1935-2012): ''III Women'' Serigraph, 27.75'' x 38.75'' with margins, signed lower right, numbered lower left 47/250, framed, 40'' x 51.5''. At the age of nine, Tarkay was sent to a Nazi concentration camp. After his release, he developed an interest in art. He and his family moved to Israel in 1949 and in 1951 he started studying art on scholarship until financial restrictions required him to leave school. Eventually he graduated from the Avni Institute of Art. Tarkay has exhibited extensively and his works can be found in many public and private collections.
