1030 Click for larger picture GRECO-ROMAN HANDLED VESSEL: Apulian Greco-Roman pottery vessel having an attached handle. Painted alternating leaf & scrolling design. Lower portion having a partial geometrical design at the observe. Approx. 6.25'' h x 3.5'' w. Collection of Harvey Rothenberg. He was a trusted advisor and friend to many national and world leaders, including David Ben-Gurion, Shimon Peres, and Mayor Teddy Kollek. His devotion to and love for the State of Israel, led to his establishing The Jerusalem Foundation in the U.S. He was Confidential Advisor to Congressman Ogden Reid and served on his staff as liaison to the House Foreign Affairs Committee from 1962 to 1966. He was Administrative Assistant and Appointments Secretary to Mayor John V. Lindsay of New York from 1966 to 1972 and Deputy Commissioner for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation from 1972 to 1974.
