1155 Click for larger picture SEMI ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'6'' X 12'5'': Rug has the dramatic look of an antique Serape with its oversized palmettos/medallions in peach, rust, red and blue covering the deep blue field. Rusty orange border complete and frames the field.
CONDITION: Visible wear and some soiled areas that can probably be cleaned.

Cabot was a one third owner. 22'' x 36'', signed lower right with the artist's address in Hoboken, dated 1912, framed, 28'' x 43'', marked Ms. Cabot verso. Ownership documentation dated March 29th, 1916 provided with this lot.
CONDITION: Scattered pinpoint dots of paint loss, some damage to board in upper margin.

1183A Click for larger picture WILLIAM CABOT JR'S WALTHAM POCKET WATCH: This currently working, size 18s, 17 jewel American Waltham open face pocket with a gold-filled case was owned by William Cabot Jr, and used by him consistently through the depression years. The movement is #7822731 was produced in 1896. William Cabot Jr. was a fisherman and one third owner of the vessel ''The Mabel E. Bryson'' which he acquired in 1916. The ship was the subject of a painting by the famed maritime artist Antonio Jacobsen dated 1912.
CONDITION: Currently running but not guaranteed to continue. Worn gold filled case with non-matching serial numbers.

1192 Click for larger picture BACKUS, Albert Edward ''Beanie'', (American, 1906-1990): Panoramic Florida River Landscape with Palms, Oil/ Upson Board, 22'' x 44'', signed Albert Backus lower right and dated '22. Framed 22.5'' x 44.5''. He is considered the ''Dean of Florida Landscape Painters''. No other Albert Backus signatures or pieces dated 1922 or earlier are known to exist (confirmed by the Backus Museum). This piece has been exhibited in the Backus Museum (label affixed verso) for the past 4 years. The painting has never been altered, is in excellent condition given its age, and remains in its original frame thought to have been made by young Backus. There is a certificate of authenticity/appraisal from the A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery as well as a summary of the provenance of this piece up to the time of its current ownership. This information is available in the front office. Sold with an autographed copy of Natasha Kuzmanovic's Book ''Tropical Light, The Art of A.E. Backus''.
CONDITION: Some scattered craquelure, several small punctures in upper right corner, signature does fluoresce. Fine Art Appraisal from 03/25/2015 in office.
