Born in 1954 in Berlin, Germany of an American diplomatic family. Ralph went high school at the American School of Paris, France and Ankara High School in Turkey. He was a nature, tennis, and art lover and learned oil painting from his mother and was completely self-taught. He viewed the world through his own lens and was fiercely anti commercialism. He did not want to compromise his artistry by showcasing or selling his art an never sold a single painting during his lifetime. Ralph passed away of health complications in June of 1999 and to this day his family has kept his art completely private. CONDITION: Light scratches on the canvas. |
