First piece is a coastal scene with waves crashing on the rocks, W/C and Gouache, 8 1/2'' x 14 3/8'', sight size, signed lower right, encased in what appears to be original frame, 15'' x 20''. Second piece is a still life of fruit, cheese, decanters, glass and butter knife, O/C, 8'' x 10''. The last piece is a carved and painted chick-a-dee mounted to a plaque, 7 1/2'', some wear to the chick-a-dee, signed verso Maurice Day ''The Whittle Shop, Damariscotta, Maine''. Maurice Day was a noted American illustrator and worked for Disney. Condition - The tree trunk that the chick-a-dee is affixed to appears to have several cracks and a missing chunk of wood. | 160 |
