238 Click for larger picture LAURENCE, Sydney Mortimer, (American, 1865-1940): Northern Lights, Oil/Canvas, 16'' x 20'', signed lower right, gilded two-tone frame. Laurence was a late 19th/early 20th Century American Impressionist who studied in New York and Paris. He is most famous for his Alaskan scenes, as well his landscapes of the Northwest.
CONDITION: Ready to hang; recently restored to perfection. There were several small punctures with minor fleck, which were repaired beyond detection, and the painting was cleaned and varnished, with several dottings of inpaint( visible by blacklight only.)
