APPROX 65 TO 85 YR OLD PERSIAN HERIZ HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 7' x 10': This rug is a beautiful example of a true Persian Heriz in its colors and its design. The large central medallion which almost fills the field has a dark blue ground with brick rust, medium blue, yellow and ivory colors used to create the geometric design. The medallion rests on a brick/rust field that is covered with small design motifs and with corners that are the same medium blue used in the medallion. The deep blue main border frames the field and completes the overall design of the rug. This size is very desirable and is much harder to find than larger rugs from Heriz. CONDITION: The ends have been bound and re-fringed. |
