SCHREYVOGEL, Charles, (American, 1861-1912): 3 ARTWORKS framed, 1) Happy New Year Card with 5 watercolor vignettes, to Dr Fisher and his family, signed lower right and dated 1884, sight size, 4 3/4'' x 7 1/4''; 2) Traveler on Dirt Road at Sunset with Cow, pencil heightened with white, sight size is 3 1/2'' x 5 1/2'', monogramed lower right; 3) Pencil drawing of an Indian Chief, with inscription, ''Dear Byrd, I thank you for your pretty card. You might color this Indian I drew for you. With love to you all from all of us, Char. Schreyvogel'', sight size 5 1/4'' x 3 1/4'', all encased in period oak frame, 18 1/2'' x 16 1/2''. Good Provenance, direct correlation with well known Shreyvogel patron, Dr William Redwood Fisher, a Hoboken physician. CONDITION: New Years card has visible spotting and some minor staining, sold as is, not examined out of the frame. |
