Rosenberg first studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then at the Royal College of Art, London, to study etching techniques. He traveled much of Europe to do architectural etchings focusing on Rome, Venice and Constantinople. His engravings and etchings are held by several prestigious organizations including the Smithsonian Institution, the Congressional Library, Washington, and the British Museum, London.
