ADRIANO OR IGNACIO PAVON ENGRAVING AFTER RAFFAELLO SANZIO (RAPHAEL): The large crisp engraving measures 30'' x 21'' sight size, 43'' x 34'' framed. Superior custom frame and matting. The engraving is after the Raphael painting entitled ''The Ecstasy of St. Cecilia'' depicts Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians and Church music, listening to a choir of angels in the company of St. Paul, St. John the Evangelist, St. Augustine and Mary Magdalene. Commissioned for a church in Bologna, the painting now hangs there in the Pinacoteca Nazionale, or National Painting Gallery. Provenance: Estate of Dr. Peter J. This engraving has been embossed with the ''Caleografila Camerale'' stamp and was part of the original collection of prints started by Pope Clement in the 18th C.
