APPROX 20-40 YR OLD CAUCASIAN DESIGN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 2' x 7': This rug has traditional design found in Shirvan rugs. There is a row of attached diamond within diamond medallions running down the center of the blue/black field. The medallions are medium blue and rust/red and lots of little birds can be found in each one. The medallions are edged by a white, rust/red, and blue latch hook or rams horn outline. The borders are also trad. Caucasian patterns with a flower head and vine in one and a white and blue trefoil in the other. CONDITION: Condition is good, although sides need a little attention. |
