19TH CENTURY ENGLISH NAVAL SWING ARM NAVAL BLUNDERBUSS: Early 19th century English Naval blunderbuss with heavy brass barrel bearing Birmingham Company proof marks, other Birmingham proof marks and the number 5. Flintlock action marked simply London. Heavy full stock with brass buttplate, stock bears cartouche of Niger Coast Protectorate and was most likely supplied to them as a surplus defense weapon. Original swivel rod firmly attached to stock. Action currently working. Barrel 21 7/8'' l. x 2 3/8'' interior dia., overall 41'' long. CONDITION: Note typical dings, scratches as this weapon saw service. Shippers note weighs approx. 27 lbs. |
