201 Click for larger picture INLAID TURKISH / MIDDLE EASTERN FLINTLOCK PISTOL: 19th century, ornate stock with silver wire inlay in sunburst panels, carved butt in form of serpent with bone horns and red glass eyes. Engraved lock plate, embossed trigger guard. 13 3/4'' barrel with carved ''mouth'' end. A decorative presentation quality firearm, most likely used for ceremonial purposes only. Overall 23 1/2'' l. overall.
CONDITION: Note action is currently working and holds, not guaranteed to continue. Pitting on barrel, lock and sideplate, chip to one glass eye.

Brass pommel, knucklebow and guard, original leather and twist wire grip. 35'' blade. Steel scabbard with black Japanned finish, commonly done during the GAR period. Overall 42 1/2'' l. overall.
CONDITION: Note wear to leather on grip, several scratches to hilt and scabbard finish. Nicks and age stains to blade.

An important figurative expressionist piece of work by this local educator and artist. Rampolla taught at the Ringling Museum of Fine Art and the University of South Florida. He passed at a very early 40 years of age.
CONDITION: Several abrasions, there has been some minor restoration

CONDITION: This has been rolled at one point and needs to be restretched, there are horizontal lines of paint loss due to the rolling, several scattered abrasions and flecks, stretcher needs reinforcement.

CONDITION: Cylinder engraving light, typical signs of use and wear to finish, action currently working fine, however not guaranteed to continue.

CONDITION: Action current works, however not guaranteed to continue. Minor scratches to wood, nice age patina on barrels.

211A Click for larger picture MODERN PERSIAN BACHTIARI HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4' 2'' x 6' 6'': This is an interesting tribal rug with an oversize roundish central medallion in light cheerful colors of white, pink. yellow, green, blue, and beige. The medallion lies on a field of deep rusty maroon that has sprays of flowers in the colors found in the medallion. The white ground border frames and gives the final touch of impact. Condition is very good. 250

CONDITION: Minor scattered pinpoint flecks, not to be confused with light colored dots of paint meant to simulate reflections of light, or candle light. The area just above the signature is a small concentration of flecks. There appears to be no inpaint. Dark spot on the back of the canvas bears no significant relevance.

224A Click for larger picture INDO PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG MADE BY PANDE CAMERON CO., 6' 1'' x 9': This rug has a dark colored palette because of the black field and the cinnamon colored main border. The overall Mina Khani design of palmettes are of softer colors of light blue, aqua , beiges, soft greens , white, and peach. This would be a good rug for a study or home office or a ''man cave''.
CONDITION: This rug has some snags (cat scratches) on one end that can be trimmed off.
