1006 Click for larger picture APPROX 30-45 YR. OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL AND SILK RUG, 3'6'' x 5'8'': This very finely knotted rug has silk highlights like Nain or Qum quality rugs. The large red oval central ground of this rug has a much smaller blue, beige, and white snowflake shaped medallion in the center. The red ground is full of traditional motifs like palmettes, vases, flower heads, vines, and leaves in colors shades of blue, beige, red, white, and green. The ends of the main field have stylized palmettes of alternating colors that touch into the field but rest mainly on the white and blue corners. The blue and white borders blend in with the corners of the field and the last solid red band of color frames the rest. Condition is good. 950

Brass dial with Roman numerals time, Arabic numeral date ring. Unmarked time and strike movement which chimes on the quarter and half hour. Overall measures 24'' h. x 14 1/2'' x 6 1/2''.
CONDITION: Paint restoration to case and dial, currently running however not guaranteed to continue or keep accurate time. Key in office.

Diamonds total approx. 3.30 Ct, with the central stone being .37 Ct. The other diamonds are single cut, round full and baguette cut. Bead, channel and pave set. CONDITION: Untouched, need cleaning, there is an abrasion in the upper mid margin, several other scattered minor abrasions, several flecks of loss. There is a small chip in the center of the painting with light visible through, the frame does show wear and several spots of missing gesso. Fresh from the Estate.

1023 Click for larger picture A FINE HEAVILY CARVED VICTORIAN COURT CUPBOARD: One of the finest examples we have offered. Carved pediment with figural winged horses. Profusely carved all over with foliate, figural busts, fruit and dragons. Top with central beveled mirror, 2 doors figural carved masqueron with paw feet and urn supports. Base with 3 drawers over 4 doors, also profusely carved. Overall measures 110'' h. x 70'' x 24''.
CONDITION: Doors are locked with currently no key available but we're working on it. Wear consistent with age and use to include loss of a nose.

CONDITION: Repair to marble, other wear consistent with age and use.

1025 Click for larger picture ADAMS, John Clayton (British, 1840-1906): ''Ewhurst Hill, Surrey'', Oil/Canvas, 24'' x 36'', signed lower right, dated 1901, old label affixed verso, encased in a pierce carved and gilded frame 31'' x 42 1/2''. Adams exhibited at the Royal Academy among others his and he painted mostly views in Surrey and the nearby counties. Adams lived at Ewhurst Hill near Guildford, the setting for this painting, from 1873 until his death in 1906.
CONDITION: Frame does have several spots of damage, painting has been relined, several minor scattered spots of inpaint, needs cleaning, some craquelure evident in the lower portions of the left and right corner.
