CONDITION: One tusk is ivory, one is not. The elephant sculpture will not be sold with the ivory tusk intact. It will be removed prior to sale.

CONDITION: Repaired tail on tiger, wear to patina on paperweight.

CONDITION: This has been relined within the last 30 years, scattered inpaint throughout visible by black light, visible repair to facial area upon close inspection, repair to tear in right margin, sold as is.

1027 Click for larger picture REMBRANDT VAN RIJN, (Dutch, 1606-1669): ''The Baptism of the Eunuch'', Etching and Drypoint, Depicts a Soldier on Horseback with Feathered Helmet, bow & arrows, and a lance, gazing at a group of three people at water's edge, one praying on one knee while he is ministered to by a bearded man in flowing robes. In the background can be seen a horse drawn carriage, foliage, and in the distance, a hillside with the outline of horses. Image measures 6 3/4'' x 8 1/4'', matted and framed 15 1/2'' x 16 3/4''. Rembrandt's name is etched along bottom right corner: ''Rembrandt/1641'', on laid paper, probably a Basan edition.
CONDITION: Visible foxing, trimmed margins, some light surface abrasions or insect damage with minor surface paper loss, hinged with tape at top margins, sold as is.

CONDITION: Pale staining, with minor discoloration, good condition, sold as is.

1029 Click for larger picture REMBRANDT VAN RIJN, (Dutch, 1606-1669): Descent from the Cross by Torchlight, Etching w/Drypoint on thin laid paper, 9 1/2'' x 7 1/2'' with margins, pencil inscription verso with title and B 83, older label with provenance affixed verso reads, ''Belonging to Mrs Riley, Branksome Park, ''Lu varary''?, Bournemouth'', impression size approximately 8 1/4'' x 6 3/8'', inscribed also BIE verso, and illegibly marking lower right in pen, free mounted in hinged acid free mat, 17'' x 14''. Unknown print date, but definitely 19th C or earlier.
CONDITION: Small tear in the upper left margin, bottom left margin has large crease, lower right smaller crease, upper left corner crease, tape glue remnants in upper and lower margins, older tape still affixed lower left verso, sold as is.

CONDITION: Wear and chips to paint, several age cracks along the base.
