1052 | DIAMOND & SAPPHIRE BANGLE BRACELET: 14K yellow gold hinged bangle bracelet with twenty six (26) round single cut diamonds totaling approx. .50 Ct., rated VS in clarity and G-H in color. The nine oval shaped mixed cut sapphires total approx. 10.00 Ct., average VS-SI in clarity, B in Hue, 7 in Tone and 2-3 in Saturation. The diamonds and sapphires are prong set. 1053 | APPROX. 25-40 YR. OLD TURKISH SILK HEREKE HAND KNOTTED SILK RUG, 19'' x 27'': This beautiful Silk Hereke is woven in a prayer rug format with a lovely unusual green colored niche with contrasting white top corners. At the base of the niche is a paneled border. Ornately decorated columns rest in this border on either side of the niche to frame the field. In the center at the base of the niche is a small vase from which long leaves and sprays of flowers go up the field to a medallion. More delicate sprays of flowers surround the medallion and above these small lamps are suspended. On either side of the niche are found vases with sprays of various flowers spilling out and around the top corners of the field. The outer border is a solid green band and the red ground of the main border has a traditional design of large flower heads flanked by leaves and linked by sinuous vines. There is an oval signature cartouche found in one of the small outer guard borders near one corner. The rug has been professionally mounted, framed and is ready to grace the home of the astute collector that is the high bidder for this work of art. Overall 45 1/2'' x 32 1/2''. Original purchase price in Turkey, $11,000.00 US Dollars. CONDITION: Excellent condition as it has been on the wall since purchase. |
