This brooch is design no 283 and is 2.25'' in diameter. It has the correct marks - Georg Jensen, 925S Denmark 283. He worked at the Georg Jensen Silver smiths from 1936-1944 and from 1949-65 and was inspired by Japanese art for many of his designs.

Inscription reads, ''COL G. GREGORY BERZINEC O.S.S. FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE BY F.D.R. 1942''. Wrist watch is a Chalet men's 14k yellow gold square face with 14k gold band. Approx. 56.9 grams inclusive of movement, 7'' long.
CONDITION: There is a kink to the band, spotting to dial, obvious signs of wear. Currently running however not guaranteed to continue or keep accurate time.

Lattice work crest with central pagoda form, figural Chinese maiden with antique ivory head, hands and feet, over dentil molding. 2 fretwork glass doors, interior shelves. Drop front secretary base, opens to carved figural Chinese man on door, pierced lattice valences over pigeon holes and drawers. 2 drawers over 3 graduating full length drawers. Carved and shaped skirt and feet. Overall measures approx. 102'' h. x 43 1/4'' x 23 1/4''.
CONDITION: Crack to slant front, missing interior trim, crest in need of repair. Other wear consistent with age and use. Ivory in this piece falls under the 200 gram rule and is over 100 years old, original to the piece. Please be aware of local laws when purchasing.

The 32x48mm 14k case is in very good condition The original 24K gold applique leather band is also in good condition and stamped. The Ventura is a ''cult classic'' amongst collectors; with this being a very fine example. Elvis wore a Ventura. Fits wrists 6.5'' to 7.875''.

1015 Click for larger picture APPROX 30-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 6'1'' X 9'1'': This pretty rug has a black field covered by large leaves, palmettes, flower heads, and smaller leaves and flowers all linked by sinuous vines. The good color composition is used in a way that accentuates the design with a jewel like look. The red ground main border and the light colored guard borders frame the elegant field. Also comes with purchase receipt from Rug Gallery.
CONDITION: This rug is in good condition.

1026 Click for larger picture APPROX. 10-15 YR. OLD CHINESE PERSIAN DESIGN HAND KNOTTED FAUX SILK RUG, 5' x 8'4'': This Sino-Persian rug is woven with a Qum design. The overall soft pastel colors used combined with the delicacy of the motifs renderings makes this an appealing, luscious rug. The central medallion combines pale peach, pink, pistachio green, and grey-blue and rests on a pale yellow field. The delicate vines and tendrils that link the other patterns are done in a pale grey-blue. They also help to delineate the added panels of pink, turquoise, and white that edge the main field. The main border has the same colors found in the central medallion. Est. $900/1200**
CONDITION: Condition is good. There is some abrash or color change in the pale yellow field that isn't objectionable. Recently cleaned by Tinney Rug Cleaners.

They are considered by many scholars and collectors to be one of the finest examples of the Queen Anne style in Philadelphia. Sprays of flowers mirror imaged on each side fill in the rest of the field. A white ground main border with a leaf and flower design completes the well drawn design of this rug.

1044 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-35 YR OLD PERSIAN PICTORIAL DESIGN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3'7'' X 5'7'': This interesting rug has a depiction of an actual mosque with minarets and a dome, perhaps the ''Blue Mosque of Samarkand'' but I'm not sure. The detailed picture is very well ''drawn'' on this finely knotted rug. There are also other mosques and religious sites pictured in panels in the border of the rug. There also is a signature or partial date cartouche at one end of the rug.
CONDITION: This rug is in good condition.

1054 Click for larger picture APPROX. 20-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8' X 10': The black ground main field has a large round medallion within a medallion in pretty, soft colors that include pink, blue, peach, ivory, red, and green. The large corners of the field are done in the same colors and blend in with the rug's borders. Other than the spandrels at either end of the medallion the rest of the field has individual flowers and leaves of various sizes scattered over the black ground.
CONDITION: Condition is good with some shading.

There is a partial date in the border of the rug.

Very stylized palmettes and larger flower heads are laid out in a pattern on an ivory field. Pale yellow outlines are around a lot of the motifs in the field and aa well as acting as connecting vines.
CONDITION: There are visible stains in one corner of the field and another place also.

Each panel has a whole diamond shaped gul done in colors of dark blue, pale beige, and ivory. These same cord make up the half diamonds and the multiple borders. This Bokhara also has a signature cartouche in black and ivory at one end of the runner and was probably marketed as a '' Princess Bokhara'', a top quality product of the weavers.

1200A Click for larger picture APPROX 20-35 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'9'' X 13'3'': This rug has a beautiful classical design with lots of detail and good color composition as well. A large lobed medallion has a dark blue center surrounded by white and the red outlined in white to separate the medallion from the deep blue of the field. The corners of the field are the same red as the medallion. They and the rest of the field are covered with a profusion of individual flowers and palmettes surrounded by sprays of flowers. The white guard borders and the blue main border blend with the field to create a really lovely rug.
CONDITION: Condition is good except the side selvedge needs some attention (pulling away from side)

1224A Click for larger picture APPROX.70-90 YR OLD NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO HAND WOVEN WOOL RUG/ BLANKET, 4'1'' X 6'7'': This nice old Navajo has a design that consists of a gridwork of diamonds with serrated edges on a natural color ivory field. The outline of the diamonds is done in brown, tan, and red. Cross motifs both large and small are found in the centers of the diamonds. There are brown and red borders at each end but not on the sides. Two shades of red were used in making this rug and there is also some fading that accounts for the varying shades.
CONDITION: Some fading, some soil/spots, and some breaks on the edge and one place in the field but still a good looking rug.

On the middle sides are two tone columns around a long white central medallion. Spandrels extend from either end and hexagons from each side. Rams or goats and botehs are included in the fields designs. The main border has a small archaic tree of life design repeating on a field that changes color repeatedly.
CONDITION: The ends are partially gone and there is lots of abrash or color change

Three eagle medallions in red, and black rest on a white field. The field is also home to a profusion of animals and birds which add to the charm of this rug. Backward ''S's'' and X's are found in the borders of the rug.

Lots of birds, camels, and other animals are scattered across the field. The borders are in reds, yellow, beige, black, green, and white, like the colors of the field. Their decoration and design are like the motifs in a regular kilim.

1321 Click for larger picture MICRO MOSAIC PENDANT? CROSS ITALIAN EARLY 1900'S : The cross is made of a solid piece of brass or a brass like metal. Cross is embedded with glass micro mosaic decoration and the ends of the cross are clover shaped. Each features a scene of the four different religious Papal Basilicas St. Peter, St. John Lateran, Santa Maria Maggiore and St. Paul in the Vatican and Rome. In the middle of the Crucifix is IHS surrounded by flowers and set in a red background. This is a fine example of micro mosaic craftsmanship constructed with fine glass tesserae mosaic pieces. Such a piece would have taken many weeks to make. The micro mosaic work appears to be in good condition. On the reverse of the cross there are some very small markings, consistent with wear and handling.
