Sold with antique green marble columnar pedestal, 41'' h. Also sold with the actual photographs of the piece in Dr. Fischinger's home. Provenance: Estate of Dr. Peter J. Fischinger, M.D., Ph.D., former Associate Director, National Cancer Institute.
CONDITION: Multiple repairs, in need of some work, not affixed to base, pedestal has repair to base section.

1017 Click for larger picture CHINESE CARVED & PIERCED CELADON JADEITE SHIP: Large extraordinarily carved & pierced Celadon Jadeite horned dragon ship having a pagoda temple with a removable main sail. Sail has a scrolling openwork design and attached symbols/characters. Rear mast has an openwork flag attached. Resting on a stylized water base. Also included is a tassel with link and a Jadeite chain with figural anchor. Approx. 23.25'' h x 20.25'' l x 4.75'' w.
CONDITION: Scattered breaks and repairs consistent with age and use.
