COE, Theodore Demerest, (American, 1866-): Impressionist Landscape, ''Spring'', O/C, 16'' x 20'', signed, from the collection of Sara Tennant, Trend House Gallery label verso, framed, 21'' x 25''. Widely regarded as being ahead of his time, Coe studied with Twachtman at the Art Students League, as well as abroad in Europe. After moving to Florida, Coe reportedly chose to concentrate on restoration, as his advanced style of artwork was not yet widely appreciated, therefore did not sell well.
