413 Click for larger picture LOBOS, Alberto, (Chilean, 1892-1925): Rural Scene with Huaso on Horseback, O/C, 16 1/2'' x 22 1/2'', signed, worn frame. Alberto Lobos and his brothers Enrique and Alfredo were all members of the ''Generation of Thirteen'' (meaning the year 1913), a bohemian group recognized as the best artists of their time in Chile, the very early 20th century. They were all students of the same mentor, one Maestro Fernando Alvarez de Sotomayor(1875-1960), a Spaniard imported to Chile by its government to lead the program at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Chile. 575
