CONDITION: Unable to determine functionality. Minor signs of play and use with the 3859 dumping car showing the most use.

1206 Click for larger picture MARTINO, Giovanni, (American, 1908-97): ''Gloucester Docks'', Oil/Canvas, 20'' x 24'', signed lower right, signed on the stretcher verso dated 1929, framed, 25.5'' x 29.5''. Martino was one of seven children, all of whom became painters and were under the tutelage of their eldest brother Frank. Giovanni also studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Spring Garden Institute. He is the recipient of over 100 awards and honors.
CONDITION: Stretcher bar wear, several flecks of loss, frame shows minor wear, needs cleaning, sold as is.

1207 Click for larger picture STRISIK, Paul, (American, 1918-98): New England Harbor Dockside Scene, Oil/Canvas, 20'' x 24'', signed lower right, framed, 26'' x 30''. Strisik eventually lived in Rockport, Mass where he became known for his landscape painting. After serving in WWII in the Navy he studied at the Art Students League in New York City. Over the course of his career, he won 185 awards including 16 gold medals. He was very willing to share his talents with young artists and he wrote several books.
CONDITION: Relined, repair to puncture in upper portion of painting, sold as is.

The red field displays a repeating pattern of oval ''guls'' in rows alternating with rows of ''snowflake'' smaller ''guls''. All the ''guls'' are done in colors of ivory, red, pink, and blue. The blue main border and the guard borders are bounded on each end with what appears to be two ''aprons'' or added borders at each end
