1256 Click for larger picture 1836 FLORIDA SEMINOLE WAR OPOTHLE YOHOLO LETTER TO GENERAL JESUP: Hand written letter by interpreter from Opothle Yoholo, Leader of the Upper Creeks; Little Doctor; Tuckabatchee Micco; and Mad Blue to Major General Tomas Jesup (misspelled Jessup), regarding the request to send Creek warriors to fight with the US government against the Seminole Indians in Florida. 2 page letter signed with an X, names added later by letter writer. Each page 8'' x 6 1/2'', framed 11 1/2'' x 16''. Sold with hand tinted McKinney & Hall portrait of Yoholo, published by E. Biddle, sight size 20 1/4'' x 14 1/2'', framed 22'' x 16''.
CONDITION: Toning and glue burning to pages. Not examined out of frames.
