1264 | ANTIQUE KURDISH PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3' 5'' x 5' 5'': This very tribal look rug has a pattern of three medallions that practically fill the field of the rug. The medallions are done in colors that include a tomato red, beige, white, and shades of blue all on a blue ground. The rest of the ground is covered with four outlined blue triangles that fit in between the medallions and four almost crab designs in the four corners of the center of the rug. The white ground of the main border has a design that looks like a ribbon of changing colors that has triangle shaped leaves branching off at each turn. The medallions rest on a medium blue field with salmon red corners. The white ground of the main border gives a strong contrast to the deeper colors of the field. CONDITION: There is some wear in the field of the rug and both ends are missing the last guard borders. |
