1010 Click for larger picture PAIR KINDEL FURNITURE WINTERTHUR COLLECTION QUEEN ANNE ARMCHAIRS: A fine pair of Kindel Mahogany Winterthur Collection Queen Anne Armchairs having the very same hand-carved elements (shells, volutes, acanthus leaves, and ball and claw feet) and crafted from the same materials as the originals that were made around 1760 in Philadelphia. They are considered by many scholars and collectors to be one of the finest examples of the Queen Anne style in Philadelphia. One of the originals sold at Christie's in 2002 for $666,000, a world record for a single wooden side chair. 42 1/2''h. x 26''w. x 22''d., 20'' Seat height, 29 1/4'' arm height. CONDITION: Wear to fabric, especially at front from use on both. Small water stain on one seat cushion.
