APPROX. 20-40 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 10'2'' x 13'1'': This classically designed rug has a large central medallion, an inner lighter colored part with lobes or petals in alternating colors radiating out in a circle that is capped with spandrels dangling from either end. The dark blue that is in the medallion is also the color of the four corners of the field. Orange double palmettes are in each corner and they tie in with orange guard borders. The red field is filled in with palmettes, flowers, and leaves in the colors found in the rest of the rug. CONDITION: Condition is basically good with some loss on the ends. |
