APPROX. 25-45 YR. OLD PERSIAN GABBEH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3'9'' x 5'6'': This fun pictorial rug has the King fighting a lion in the middle of the field. Above and below are white and black winged figures with king's heads. In the four corners of the field are two lions, one white, one orange fighting each other although it looks like they are dancing. This is a very whimsical product of a weaver who knew some of the mythology of his country's past. CONDITION: There is some loss at each end, otherwise condition is good. |
