APPROX. 15-30 YR OLD AFGHANI ''WAR RUG'' HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3'5'' x 5'8'': This is a charming example of a type of rug that has been produced in Afghanistan since WWI. The red field of this rug is covered with instruments of war including giant hand grenades, machine guns, and tanks and helicopters of different types and sizes. The blue border is a pathway for tanks that encircle the rug. The word ''Tanks'' is written in reverse on each tank by the illiterate weaver. Condition is good. | 125 |
