FOUR ''INDIAN'' RUGS AS FOLLOWS: 1) Semi-Antique Navajo Yei or Corn Dancers rug, 2'5'' x 3'10''. The three dancers are done in colors of black, red, and white as are the arrows, some of which they hold, some stand free on either side of the dancers. The natural mottled beige field is bordered by a white then a black band. Condition is good with some surface soiling. 2) Modern Corn Dancers, or Yei Navajo rug, 2`5'' x 2`8'', with unusual palette for an Indian rug. A pale orange field with a deeper orange border and dancers in shades of blue, white, and black are found with short white arrows on this newer version. Condition is good. 3) Semi-Antique small Navajo probably used as a saddle blanket, 1`8'' x 2`, this piece has natural black and beige repeating parallelograms on its white field. Red and black borders are found at each end. Condition is good for its age. Sold with 4) Modern brightly colored flat weave possibly woven by India Indians. 4`1'' x 5`2'' . The weaving has geometric designs that look like arrows pointing in one direction. Condition is good. Sold as a lot. CONDITION: Please see description for any condition comments. |

APPROX 50-70 YR OLD PERSIAN HAMADAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 2'8'' x 5'9'': This is a good looking semi-antique rug with a lot of traditional design elements done in good colors. A salmon pink, pale orange, pistachio green, and light blue are the main colors found in the design motifs that include various size flowers and trees, some linked by vines. The colors really stand out on the midnight blue field. The three small borders finish the design. CONDITION: Wear is commensurate with the rug's age. |
