1151 Click for larger picture FERN PATTERN VICTORIAN CAST IRON BENCH & CHAIR: 2 pieces of cast iron in the Fern pattern, possibly Coalbrookdale or Fiske to include 1) Bench, 33 1/2'' h. x 52'' x 19''. 2) Chair, 32 3/4'' h. x 23 1/2'' x 24''. Sold with 3) Grape vine motif small table, 17 1/4'' x 20 3/4''.
CONDITION: Obvious signs of outdoor use and multiple layers of paint.

1152 Click for larger picture APPROX. 20-45 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 2'11'' x 4'8'': This beautiful rug, which looks like a Qum, is intensely covered with finely detailed design elements on every inch of the ivory field. There is a diamond shaped central medallion within a lobed larger medallion. Palmettes extend from either end of the medallion all the way to the border of the rug in a series of different parts. The corners of the field have red panels extending out into the field and along the sides and ends of the rug. The rest of the field is covered with an interesting combination of geometrical and curvilinear designs. The border has a repeating small medallion in shades of blue on a red field. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame, some very pale toning, minor handling creases, sold as is.

1154A Click for larger picture FOUJITA, Leonard Tsuguharu, (Japanese, 1886-1968): Nativity Scene with Mary and Infant Christ in the Manger, size with margins 10.625'' x 8.25'', signed in pen lower right and numbered lower left 21/197, unframed. The second etching is the same except it is not signed. Foujita was a French-Japanese artist and spent most of his career in Paris. He associated with artists like Picasso, Braque and Rousseau. As a youth studying art at the Imperial School of Fine Art in Japan, the Japanese Emperor acquired one of his paintings. In 1917 he had his first exhibition in Paris and within several years was exhibiting at the Fauves Salon d'Automne. Provenance: Estate of Yves Georges Prade.
CONDITION: Even overall toning, scattered foxing, under glass, sold as is.

Center diamond is VS1 in clarity and M in color. 12 European round cut diamonds .90 Ct. form the petals in this design and are VS in clarity and G-H in color. Size 6.25 and weight 5.9 grams. 1158A Click for larger picture POUCETTE, Nicola Ortis, (French, 1935-2006): Yong Girl, Watercolor, sight size 17.5'' x 7.5'', signed lower right, 22.5'' x 12.25''. Poucette was a painter and writer in Paris. She began selling her paintings on the street when she was only 16 and wrote her first novel at age 20. She is well-known for her brightly colored paintings of horses, elephants and other animals. Provenance: Estate of Yves Georges Prade 100
1159 Click for larger picture ANTIQUE BOKHARA ENSI HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'1'' x 5'4'': A true antique Bokhara Ensi or door surround/cover, examples like this are found in major museum rug collections including a very similar one in the Berlin Museum's holdings. The asymmetrical design has a top that looks like the top of a prayer rug's niche. The main portion of the rug is divided into panels with various motifs done in colors of red, blue, black, white, green, and rust red. Three sides of the rug are banded by a double ram's horn repeating design in black and white and there is a large apron or extra border at the bottom of the rug. CONDITION: There is some visible wear, the ends and selvedges need some repair.

1165 Click for larger picture SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN KERMAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 2'6'' x 12'3'': This ivory ground runner has a traditional overall pastel colored design of sprays of flowers covering most of the field and the borders. The overall pattern makes this a very practical as well as pretty runner, especially if you already have room size Kerman rugs in your home.
CONDITION: Condition is good with some soil & shading.

The midnight solid blue field has a row of three large red ground geometric octagonal red on red medallions with latch hook or ram 's horn motifs inside and out. The main borders design is also Caucasian but the weave places this rug a little south of that region. Condition is good. 550

The red, blues, and ivories are also found in the borders of the rug. Condition is good with some shading. 450

Palmettes and flower heads radiate out from the center of the field. The main border is the same tomato red as the field.
CONDITION: Condition is good with some shading in the pale blue and ivory area at one end.

Mahogany body and base with string inlay. Painted metal dial with upper hunt scene, Roman numeral, second and date dials, marked by maker or retailer John Down, illegible city name. Time and strike movement, overall measures 82'' h. x 20'' x 9''.
CONDITION: Pediment and dial in need of restoration, currently running however not guaranteed to continue or keep accurate time.

The balance of the field is covered with small floral motifs in the same colors. Ivory guard borders are on either side of the black ground main border. Condition is good. 350
