1325 Click for larger picture BUEHR, Karl Albert (American, 1866-1952): ''Valley Near Milk Depot, Orwell Vermont'', Oil on Canvas, signed K.A. Buehr, 25'' x 30'', signed lower left, carved and painted frame, 27'' x 32'', partial label affixed verso. One of the early Chicago artists to adopt Impressionism, Karl Buehr became a figure and landscape painter and was noted for his strong colorations. He was born in Germany but emigrated to America in 1869.
CONDITION: Needs cleaning, some scattered abrasions, several flecks of loss, sold as is.

1326 Click for larger picture BICKERSTAFF, George, (American, 1893-1954): Western Desert Landscape, Oil on Canvas Board, 18'' x 23.75'', faintly signed lower right, wooden frame 22'' x 27.5''. Bickerstaff began as a self-taught artist and studied briefly at the Art Institute in Chicago. He is most well-known for his California landscapes, eucalyptus trees and wildflowers.
CONDITION: Pin holes in upper margin, scattered paint loss along margins, needs cleaning, frame shows minor wear, sold as is.

Markos works in many medias and with many techniques, using expressionism and concept art. He frequently builds series and uses collage to get his idea across. Mark Ogle was raised and educated in Kalispell, Montana, and began studying art under contemporary artists, including Joe Abbrescia, Robert Cavanaugh and Ace Powell. He specializes in bold, colorful oil paintings and soft pastel watercolors. His work has been on tour by the Smithsonian. 375
