1098 | APPROX 40-50 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5'6'' x 9'2'': This is a good example of a Persian village or tribal rug. The bold geometric design and the limited use of colors make this a vibrant and appealing rug. The three linked central medallions are outlined in a soft peach with an ivory ground for the inner motifs done in colors of peach, blue, grey-blue, and black. There are four bluebirds that are part of each medallions design. The open pretty blue field has as its only other design pairs of larger birds facing each other from opposite sides of the rug. CONDITION: Fairly good with some areas of visible wear. |
