CONDITION: Needs cleaning, scattered craquelure, several punctures in canvas, and several scattered flecks of paint loss, sold as is.

1104 Click for larger picture BRONZE SCULPTURE LOT DANTE, SHAKESPEARE, & GOETHE: 1) Dante, measures 11 1/2'' h. x 10'' w., affixed to a pink beveled marble plinth, 14 1/2'' overall, no visible signature; 2) Shakespeare, measures 14 1/2'' h. x 9 1/2'' w. with the affixed bronze beveled plinth, signed Hans Froml; 3) Goethe, measures 10 1/2'' h. x 8 1/2'' w., 13 1/2'' overall with the red marble plinth, no visible signature, there are several small flea bites on both marble plinths.
CONDITION: Age appropriate wear to the bronzes patina, very good overall.

CONDITION: Needs cleaning, minor craquelure, stretcher bar wear.

1113 Click for larger picture APPROX 25-40 YR OLD PERSIAN KARAJA HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'9'' x 13'2'': This lively Persian corridor or gallery size (wider than typical hallways) runner has the easily identifiable design of alternating geometric medallions running down the center of the field. The center medallion in the row has a golden outline around a white center and two of the other medallions have white outlines with latch hooked edges that really make the medallions stand out. The green that is used in two of the medallions is another interesting addition to the overall look of the rug. There are some bird motifs scattered in the field among the other small motifs that liberally cover the balance of the field.
CONDITION: Condition is overall good but some of the side selvedge needs repair.

1113A Click for larger picture SERPENTINE INLAID MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD: Serpentine top with banded string inlay trim, 3 drawers over 4 doors, all with banded string inlay, tapered legs. Hathaway's tag inside central drawer. Measures 39 3/4'' h. x 67'' x 26 1/4''.
CONDITION: Sections of missing inlay, other wear consistent with age and everyday use. Damage to side left door at lock, right door loose on top hinge and needs a ''stop''.

1114 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40YR OLD PAKISTANI BOKHARA HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'3'' x 12'3'': This rug has the traditional format of two types of ''guls'' that alternate in rows that cover the whole field of the carpet. The multiple small borders of various designs are also part of the traditional patterns found in Bokhara rugs. The rich red of the field contrasts with the black and white of the ''guls''. There is a signature cartouche in the middle of the borders at one end. Condition is good. 400
