|1305||GROUP OF 5 VINTAGE PURSES: Fabulous, well cared for, estate found vintage purses. 1) Signed Tyrolean gold plated filigree box purse with mirror on the hinged top. 2) Bienen-Davis leather bag - in the box with tag. 3) Genuine Cordy soft purse with Lucite clasp, cloth label. 4) Midnight blue iridescent bead box purse with Bakelite hinged lid. 5) Signed Rosenfeld suede box purse with enameled top, mirrored interior, original matching coin purse inside.
CONDITION: These purses are in excellent condition with clean interiors
|1308||SOUTHEAST ASIAN STONE BUDDHA HEAD ON STAND: Carved bust of Buddha, separated from original body, mounted on wood plinth. Actual age unknown. Overall measures 11 1/2'' h. x 4 1/2'' x 4 1/2''.
CONDITION: There is an age fissure at the hat.
|1309||PAIR BURMESE POLYCHROME CARVED FIGURES: Carved wood figures of a female dancer in traditional Burmese court costume, dating from the first half of the 20th C. Well carved on all sides, the figure is colorfully painted in green, yellow and red pigments. 31'' h. x 15'' x 8 1/2''.

|1313||APPROX 20-40 YR OLD NW PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4' 4'' X 6' 8'': This vibrant, lively tribal Persian rug has a black ground with a large size diamond shaped salmon red medallion with arrow shaped spandrels pointing to either end of the rug. The white saw tooth edge of the medallion adds to the contrast of the colors between field and medallion. The four corners of the field are also well defined by the stepped rows of various colors that separate the red from the black. There are small turquoise squares in the corners that also add to the overall composition of the rug. The white ground guard borders and the black ground main border do a nice job of framing and completing the design of the rug. Condition is good.||175|

|1330||EDO PERIOD JAPANESE SAMURAI DOLL: Edo Period (c. 1800- 1886) Japanese samurai doll, or musha ningyo, made for display on Boy's Day which is celebrated annually in Japan on May 5. This seated samurai has wonderful detailing in the cotton and silk brocade costume, and is rendered in full armor with yoroi and kabuto. The samurai has an expressive gofun face, and accessories include a quiver with four arrows. Overall 18 1/4'' h. x 16'' x 9 1/2''.
CONDITION: Wear and fading to fabric and feet, hairlines to face.

|1332||3 PIECE JAPANESE SATSUMA TEA SET: Hand painted Satsuma tea set, complete with teapot (5 1/2'' h. x 7 1/2''), sugar and creamer, all with original knobbed lids. The bodies have a pleasing, plump ovoid form and the hand painting is exquisitely detailed with gilt and colorful enamels in a wisteria motif. The purple and orange wisteria spill from the lids to the bodies of the serving pieces in a continuous motif. A black and gold geometric design bands the rims and lids, making a striking border to frame each piece.||125|

|1337||BRADLEY & KAYE STYLE FIBERGLASS CAROUSEL HORSE: Based on classic turn of century horse with a distinctive patriotic American flare with red, white and blue feathers off bridle, American flag on either side and bust of Native American chief above the tail. Bejeweled saddle, all on decorative sleds. Reputedly this horse was commissioned by Bud Hurlbut of Knottsberry Farm California to replace the original wood horses that were sold at auction from the original carousel. |1343||AFRICAN GURO ZAMBLE MASK IVORY COAST: The zamble masks combine the attributes of hyena, antelope, leopard and crocodile. Like all Guro masks, they can be polychrome or come in brown and black. In Guro culture, distinctions are made between masquerades that are the focus of cults and those that are more secular in nature. A sequence of three sacred masks centers around Zamble, a mythical male being whose form fuses antelope and leopard features. He is in turn complemented by his beautiful wife, Gu, and his wild, grotesque brother, Zuali. Such representations are owned by certain families that use them as the loci of sacrificial offerings proposed by diviners to improve their well-being. In contrast, other Guro mask forms, which serve only as sources of entertainment, are designed by individual performers. 15 1/2'' x 5 1/4'' x 8 1/2'', sold with metal stand.||275|
