1108 Click for larger picture WEBB, James, (British, c. 1825-1895): ''Blowing Fresh'', Oil/Canvas, 9'' x 14'', signed lower left, gilded gesso frame, 14.5'' x 19'', titled on the canvas, dated 1873 and marked ''Painted for A.T.''. Several labels affixed verso to the protective foam core backing.
CONDITION: Frame has wear and loss. Painting has scattered minute brush strokes of in-paint in sky and partially scattered throughout the rest, minor craquelure, small bit of loss in upper right corner. Sold as is.

1116A Click for larger picture CIVIL WAR ERA MODEL 1849 COLT POCKET REVOLVER: 4'' octagonal .31 caliber barrel, 5 shot cylinder, all matching serial number 168456 with the exception of the replacement wedge, dates to late 1860 to early 1861. Walnut grips, traces of cylinder scene remain. Action currently working, overall 9 1/4''.
CONDITION: Typical signs of use, replacement wedge inserted upside down, will fall out if placed in correctly, if wedged too tight cylinder will not rotate. BURCHARD GALLERIES DOES NOT ENDORSE THE FIRING OF ANY ANTIQUE FIREARMS.

Member of the Societe du Salon des Independants. He exhibited there in 1912 and again in 1926.
CONDITION: Relined, scattered craquelure, scattered inpaint with repairs to tears, sold as is.

1121 Click for larger picture APPROX. 25-35 YR OLD TURKISH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 6'2'' x 9'2'': A very soft, pastel colored Turkish rug has three small medallions down the center of the peach colored field. The peach is outlined in white and ivory and there is an ivory and turquoise blue wide main border. Condition is good, but would look better after a good cleaning.

1133 Click for larger picture APPROX. 25-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9' x 12'7'': A different design was used in the making of this rug. A repeating pattern of three vary colored roses are placed within a diamond shaped grid work of flowered vines. Individual roses are in the corners or points of the vines that are on a white field. The main border pattern is very close to that of the main field. Only the blue/grey guard borders break and also frame the overall pattern. Condition is good.

1138 Click for larger picture VICKERS, Henry Harold, (English, 1851-1918): West Haddon, Derbyshire, England, Oil/Board, 6'' x 8.5'', signed lower right dated 1902, signed and titled verso. Landscape depicts a Pastoral Sunset with Cows, unframed. Vickers worked in oil and is known for his paintings of landscapes, rural scenes, and farm animals. Vickers' works are traded on the Canadian auction market and are in numerous private collections. There are works in the permanent collections of several Canadian and English museums.
CONDITION: Several flecks of loss in the lower and right margins. Sold as is.

1145 Click for larger picture APPROX.20-35 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'10'' x 12'10'': A very pretty rug that has a blue and white central medallion and corners on a red field. The field is further covered by an overall scattering of leaves, flowers, and palmettes. There is a freshness to this design and it's coloring due to the good balance of colors but also to the more extensive use of green in all parts of the rug. The overall impression is of a beautiful classic Persian rug, one that would grace any ''palace''. Condition is good. 425

1149 Click for larger picture APPROX. 20-40 YR OLD TURKISH HAND KNOTTED FAUX SILK, MERCERIZED COTTON RUG, 4' x 6'1'': This finely knotted rug has a very detailed paneled design. Each panel is like a small prayer saph. Some have different flowering trees representing perhaps a ''tree of life'', while two panels have columns that are festooned with flowers. Most of the colors used are soft pastels with some black introduced to outline or emphasize some of the designs. The border has smaller panels that are similar to those found in the field. Condition is good. 125
