1201 | TWO APPROX. 25-45 YR OLD RUSSIAN/CAUCASIAN SOUMAC RUGS: 1) Handmade wool rug, 4'7'' x 7'3''. This rug has vivid colors with no white used to separate them. Three orange /red lobed medallions rest on a deep blue ground. The field is edged by orange and bright blue borders that make this rug really stand out. There is some old moth damage. 2) Handmade wool rug, 6'7'' x 11'5''. Another interesting tribal flat weave rug with strong geometric designs and colors. There are large central diamond shaped medallions in blues, reds, and pistachio green, which alternate with smaller pinwheel like medallions. There is almost no white used in this rug so all the strong colors come up against each other. Condition is good. | 275 | |
