On islands or outcroppings of land on either side are found a variety of animals from all over the world. These include a polar bear, penguins, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, a lion, tiger, and leopard and more. The animal's images were probably derived from photos or books and their scale of size doesn't match the true size of the animals, but it adds to the charm of the rug.
