APPROX 15-30 YR OLD CHINESE HAND KNOTTED SILK RUG, 8' X 8': The square size is a plus for this rug as is also the pastel peach and white ''Florida'' colors. A large central medallion composed of four large lobes or petals with a flower in each center and outlined by two tones of peach rests on a white field with other pastel colors as the background. Swimming birds, water lilies, and ripples of water are seen in the corners of the field. The border of the rug is composed of panels outlined in peach, each with a pair of birds or a water lily in the center. CONDITION: There is a lot of shading, some soil and stains but it is still an attractive rug. |
