APPROX 25-45 YR OLD PERSIAN SHIRAZ HAND KNOTTED WOOL TRIBAL RUG, 5'7'' X 9'7'': This vibrant rug has traditional colors and design. There is a white then blue diamond shaped central medallion on the red colored field. There are white diamond shaped medallions at either end of the central medallion and one in each of the blue ground corners. Both the red and blue areas of the field are further covered with lots of small motifs including birds and animals, ''x'' shaped and arrows. There are two very skinny trees that start in the corners of the field and run along the side edges of the field to the other end. The design of this rug is well drawn and balanced, especially for a tribal rug. CONDITION: Condition is good with a little wear and color run. |
