OLD HAND WOVEN WOOL FLAT WEAVE RUG FROM INDIA, 6'1'' x 9': This rug has the look of a hand knotted pile rug in its design but it has been done in a flat weave using several different techniques to complete the rug including soumac, weft-wrapping , and chain-stitches. The colors are also unusual from the brown field as background to the pastel blues, yellows, and deeper green that make up the design motifs of the field and borders. CONDITION: Condition is good with small pink stain on one end. |
