FOLK ART CARVED COWBOY ON HORSE: Early 20th century, nicely detailed carved wood figure of a cowboy or possibly a gaucho, down to the cigarette in his mouth, leather clothes and hat, gun belt with wood guns, leather covered saddle. He is riding a carved wood horse on a composite base, no visible signatures or markings. Overall measures 14'' h. x 13 1/2'' x 4''. Sold with and oak and glass case, 15 1/2'' h. x 15'' x 10 1/4''. CONDITION: Missing several fingers, leather is brittle and flaking with continuing flaking each time it is touched / moved. Glue repair to gun belt at one holster, sold as-is. Paint spatter to case. |
