1358 Click for larger picture MENGIN, Paul Eugene, (French, 1853-1937): Bronze sculpture of a girl with a mandolin, mounted as a candelabrum lamp, signed P. Mengin, Susse Freres foundry marks. Mounted to green marble base, later added 5 arm candelabra with center electric socket. Overall measures 36 1/2'' h. x 10 1/2'' x 8 1/2'', sculpture alone measures 20 1/2'' h.
CONDITION: Looseness to added top, socket not working. Shippers note approx. 54 lbs. Don't forget the finial in the office.

1376 Click for larger picture LEIGH, William Robinson, (American, 1866-1955): 4 Etchings, 1) Young Indian Girl Grinding Corn, 12'' x 9'' with margins, signed in the plate lower right, unframed; 2) Study of Two Dogs, 12'' x 16'' with margins, signed in the plate lower right, unframed; 3) Western Rocky Outcrop Landscape, 12'' x 16'' with margins, signed in the plate lower right, unframed; 4) Study of Three Donkey Heads, 12'' x 17.5'', signed in the plate lower right, unframed. Leigh studied at the Maryland Institute in Baltimore and the Royal Academy in Munich. He returned to the States and became sought after for his illustrations. In 1906 he found his calling with a trip to the Southwest to paint the Grand Canyon. He also painted Yellowstone National Park, but he was most interested in the Hopi and Navajo Indians. Provenance: Estate Collection of Christian Buchheit.
CONDITION: Scattered smudges, lower left corner folded over, minor handling creases; 2) Several visible creases, some scattered minor handling creases, minor toning in the image, several tears in the margins and pinholes in all 4 corners; 3) Visible toning and discoloration, several creases in the corners, minor paper loss in the margins; 4) Several tears in the margins, corners are tattered or rounded, several handling creases, sold as is.
